Jubail Island Celebrates Spinneys Grand Opening, Delivering Premium Convenience and Elevated Living for Residents

Jubail Island Investment Company (JIIC) announced the grand opening of a new Spinneys supermarket at Souk Al Jubail, the vibrant central hub of Jubail Island.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony, held earlier, was attended by Mr. Ali S Mr. Ali Saeed Juma Al Bwardy, Chairman of Spinneys, Engineer Abdulla Al Shamsi, General Manager of JIIC, and Mr. Sunil Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Spinneys.

The opening marks a significant milestone in the island’s ongoing development, enhancing convenience and delivering a premium retail experience to residents and visitors alike.

Engineer Abdulla Al Shamsi commented, “Spinneys’ arrival marks a pivotal moment for Jubail Island, elevating our retail offering with a brand synonymous with excellence in the UAE. Their unwavering commitment to sustainability, premium quality, and community-focused retail mirrors our own vision for a holistic, future-ready lifestyle. Together, we are not just opening a supermarket—we are creating a destination that enriches daily life for residents and sets a new benchmark for integrated living in Abu Dhabi.”

The new 1,000 square-metre standalone Spinneys store, located at the main entrance of Jubail Island, features dedicated parking and is easily accessible via the Jubail Island bridge (Exit 17) on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E12). It will serve the island’s growing community, as well as office workers and visitors.

Jubail Island Successfully Completes Major Infrastructure Milestone with Connection to ADNOC City Gas Permanent Network

Jubail Island proudly announces the successful integration of its gas network infrastructure with ADNOC City Gas Permanent Live Gas Network, marking a significant step forward in its commitment to sustainable and world-class development.

The Jubail Island Gas Station (SPRS) is now fully commissioned and operational, ensuring a secure, reliable, and environmentally responsible energy supply for the residential and retail units, as well as the ongoing and future construction projects. This milestone follows the completion of rigorous official approvals and technical procedures, all conducted in alignment with international and local safety standards.

This achievement is the result of strong collaboration between Jubail Island, LEAD Development (the project’s developer), ADNOC City Gas, and key partners including Parsons International Limited, Gulf Contractors Company, and Modern Gas Company. Their coordinated efforts were instrumental in successfully delivering this crucial infrastructure upgrade.

This integration reinforces Jubail Island’s commitment to sustainable development and directly supports the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative. By utilizing low-emission gas infrastructure, Jubail Island ensures cleaner energy for its community, reducing carbon emissions and promoting long-term environmental stewardship. Jubail Mangrove Park Rules
This park has access to open water bodies and there are no lifeguards on duty.
The Park is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day.
Swimming or diving into the water is not permitted.
No pets allowed.
No Littering.
No smoking allowed.
No food or beverages allowed on the boardwalk.
Please do not lean or climb over the railing.
Toys, Skating, the use of scooters and/or bicycles are not permitted in the park.
Respectful clothing must be considered.
All parcels and bags are subject to a security check.
Items displayed, plants, wildlife must not be touched and/or removed.
Please do not sit or place children on the railing.
Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the visit.
Park representatives reserve the right to remove any persons contravening the above or due to unruly or inappropriate behaviour.
